Once a year, mountain bike enthusiasts get the opportunity to experience a unique adventure in the Koedoes Valley in the Limpopo province. The Mooketsi MTB Challenge takes cyclists through the beautiful landscape of a private game reserve, through agricultural farmland and untouched bushveld terrain.
The Mooketsi MTB is a qualifying event for the Limpopo colours and is an officially sanctioned event of Limpopo Cycling. The race caters for all levels of riders, from the serious cyclists, to the weekend warrior. We strive to present to make this a family weekend. This year the MTB is held on 11 September 2021.

ROUTE DESCRIPTION:
10KM MTB FUN RIDE
This is a fun race aimed at the inexperienced mountain biker who seldom rides and does not have a great deal of fitness. This is a easy route also for young ones, a nice introduction into what mountain biking is all about. The route is mostly gravel roads with some dual tracks.
40KM MTB RACE:
This is a Sanctioned Limpopo Cycling event.
75KM MTB RACE:
This is a Sanctioned Limpopo Cycling event.

- Safety Rules & Regulations
- Your temperature will be tested before entering the venue
- Please don't gather before and after your ride
- Please remember to wear your face masks during number collection
- Please remain 1.5m from each other, on the trails if you pass indicate to the person in front of you that you are going to pass and doing so swiftly and by trying to keep your social distance
- Do not attend if you are sick or have been in the last 14 days
- Do not attend if you have been near anyone with symptoms
- Riders are encouraged to carry mask or face-covering in the event another person approaches
- In order to create a safe and enjoyable venue for everyone who has entered, it is very important that all the Rules & Regulations strictly be adhered to when entering the Trails. Failure to adhere to the Rules & Regulations will result in the forfeiting your ride.
- The Venue, Trail operators, Employees and Companies involved can not be held liable for any Injury, Sickness, Theft or Loss occurred before, during or after entering the Venue
- Your temperature will be tested before entering the venue
- All riders (40km & 75km) must have a valid licence.
A day license must be purchased for R50 if you do not have one. - All riders must wear protective headgear AT ALL TIMES.
Failure may result in disqualification and or penalty. - Online entries are open and close, 8 September 2021.
- All CSA rules apply. Please go to www.cyclingsa.com to update yourself. Ignorance of any rule will not be accepted as an excuse for any transgression.
- All announcements and instructions made on Race day by the race director are binding.
- All queries regarding the results must be lodged with the time keepers within 30min after results are made available on race day.
- No race number, No result.

Directions from Johannesburg
Take the M31 and Houghton Dr to De Villiers Graaf Motorway / M1
Continue to Limpopo. Take the N1 exit from N1.
Continue straight to Polokwane.
Take the R101 Off ramp to Tzaneen on the left hand side.
Take the R81 Off ramp to Gyani on the left hand side.
Cross the R71, turn right on the R81 towards Gyani.
Pass the Mall of the North on your left hand side.
After passing Mall of the North continue on the R81 for +- 75Km.
You will notice a Fuel station on the left hand side that is on a hill.
Continue straight until you see a board saying Jachtpad left.
Turn left onto Jachtpad.
Drive +- 10.8km. APC Camp will be on your left.
Drive safely, see you there.
