TWO EVENTS - ONE WEEKEND

Top of the Waterberg is excited to welcome you back to this two-in-one event on 23^rd & 24^th August 2025 at Lindani. Here, in the heart of the Waterberg, entrants will have the opportunity to enjoy Lindani’s amazing Mountain Bike and Trail Running trails. 

Enter EITHER the MTB Challenge on the Saturday OR the Trail Run on the Sunday, OR challenge yourself and enter BOTH events and get a 25% discount off your Trail Run entry fee. 

Adding to the fun, on the Saturday after you have conquered the MTB trails, come and ‘kuier’ with us for a braai and live streaming of the rugby game between the Bokke and the Wallabies.

Mountain biking at its best through pristine Waterberg wilderness on well-built, flowing trails designed to thrill and challenge all levels of riders.

*CSA sanctioned Event for 60km, 35km and 18km Distances

*CSA license applies. R50 day license for non-licensed riders

TRAIL RUN

Trail Run Half-Marathon- 21km TR GPX File

Distance: 21 km

Climbing: 338m

Water Table: 8km, & 15km 

Difficulty: Gentle climbs & descents on easy flowing trails and farm roads

Description:

There are some changes to this year’s route where runner can look forward to more  trails and less jeep track than last year. Running with the game on superb trails, interspersed by the odd jeep track, through stunning Waterberg scenery and bush veld, all make for a super-special and most enjoyable run. This 21km half-marathon is a magical route that traverses a variety of terrain and landscape including mountains, rivers, and bushveld. The climbs and accents are mostly gentle, and the quality trails are non-technical, open, and clear, making for easy-flowing trail running.  

There are two water tables at 8km & 15km to refuel at. Watch out for the important split with a sharp right turn soon after the first water table at 8km.

Trail Run Quater-Marathon – 10km  TR GPX File

Distance: 10 km

Climbing: 166 m

Difficulty: Easy flowing trails with gentle gradients

Description:

A thoroughly enjoyable 10mk trail run through pristine Waterberg bush veld that meanders through a beautiful section of the Melk River valley, traversing a wide variety of terrain comprising of rivers, rocky outcrops, and flowing trails through savanna woodland. The gradients are gentle, and the excellent quality trails, combined with sections of jeep track, make for a most enjoyable non-technical easy flowing trail running. 

There is one water table at 8km to refuel at. There is an important left split to look out for soon after the first water table at 8km.

Trail Run - Fun Run- 10km TR GPX File

Distance: 5 km

Climbing: 96 m

Difficulty: Easy flowing trails with gentle gradients

Description:

Look forward to a super mellow, fun and enjoyable 5km run (or stroll), through a stunning section of Waterberg savanna woodland, beneath a majestic mountain overlooking the beautiful Melk River.
